keyfunda's 1-day Erlang event will introduce you to the basics of the language, and give you an executive summary of its applications. You will need to bring your own laptop and be ready to write some code. Registrants will receive detailed instructions on how to install Erlang.

 

[BONUS: Elixir is a new language built to run on the Erlang run-time, attracting growing attention in the web world. We will briefly introduce you to Elixir.]

This is an in-person event, at the specified venue. Lunch and coffee/tea is included in the registration.

Event Pre-requisites: Familiarity with some programming or scripting language - it could be C, C++, Java, Python, Javascript, Ruby, PHP, tcl, Verilog, SPICE... literally any language you have used for work or fun. However, you do need to be comfortable opening up a text editor and writing code.

MadabusiGovindarajan

Madabusi Govindarajan (Govind) has 20+ years of experience in industry and academia, across the stack from semiconductors to software. Govind has been a tenured faculty member at IIT-Bombay, held key positions in Silicon Valley start-ups, and was a Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM. Most recently he is the co-founder of a Bangalore start-up Silicon Crowds.

Govind holds a PhD from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and a B.Tech from IIT-Madras. You can find his detailed bio on linkedin.
